I was stopped in the street wearing this shirt because people loved it so much and wanted to know where it was from!

Meet Reno!
Retired Navy Commander, retired professor, and an artist who has been drawing since kindergarten! Now that Reno's retired, he's all-in on art... and so excited!
Reno Unger is a retired professor from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania and a retired Navy Commander. He and his wife Nancy moved to Mountain View, Colorado in 2019 to be near their children and grandchildren, and have fallen in love with the Western lifestyle and the beautiful scenery, much of which shows up in his artwork.
Shortly after retirement, Reno wandered into the Lakewood Art Gallery as was his habit, ended up joining, and received a lot of encouragement about his work. Since then, art has been a favorite focus of his free time. He has won several awards for his work in pen and ink, woodblock prints, and watercolor, and his work can be seen at the Lakewood, Artcentric, and VFW galleries as well as several local businesses.

Reno's art, Colorado, and world 💛

Reno moved to Colorado and fell in love with it, and that love shows up in his work. The mountains, the plants, the wildlife, the Western scenery that drew him and his wife Nancy here in the first place. Now that life has slowed down to the right speed, art gets the time it always deserved.
We are so glad Reno is part of the ArtFair family. His eye for the things people overlook is something we never want to stop celebrating!
