I have always aspired to be an artist. Although I never gave up on that dream, I didn't truly pursue it until my husband and I became empty nesters and he posed the question,
"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
So at the age of sixty, I followed my childhood dream and began formal training at Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, taking courses toward certification as a Botanical Illustrator. My art channels my love of the splendor of the natural world. Working primarily in watercolor and colored pencil, my designs reflect the beauty, intricate details, and wonders that can be found just outside the back door.
