Meet Dale

Meet Dale

He always felt he was born 100 years too late. You may wonder why a boy raised in Wisconsin would grow up loving the west. During the 50s and 60s, movies and television were full of westerns and he fell in love with them.

After graduating from art school in Wisconsin in 1965, Dale spent the first 8 years working as a staff artist in an art studio in Milwaukee and an advertising agency in Oshkosh learning his craft until the lure of the west, that had been there since childhood, finally drew him and his family to Colorado in 1973.

A job offer with an advertising agency allowed the family to settle down in Fort Collins. After 2 years, the agency closed its doors and led Dale to freelance his talents for the next several years. All the while, he continued to create art concerning the subjects of the cowboy, the military and wildlife that had drawn him here.
During that period of splitting his time doing commercial and fine art, he has also illustrated more than 35 books mostly concerning the west and it's history. Now retired, he spends his time drawing and painting with out the daily deadlines that commercial art demands.

With a background of more than 60 years of creating artwork for a variety of clients, he has the ability to create paintings and drawings in many different styles.

Each artist we collaborate with selects a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to receive 10% of our company's profits from their designs at the end of each year. Dale has chosen the American Cancer Society as his nonprofit!
